    1965 Transmission Mounting Bracket Bolts

On my 1965 sbc I am trying to figure out what bolts are correct for the ears on the transmission mounting bracket that holds it to the frame (I have the lower long bolt) but the ear bolts were thrown into the bucket pile and not marked, can anyone help me on this?

    Regards,

What exact ones do you mean? The ears on the tranny are 7/16 that sandwich the exhaust hanger bracket with the rubber cushion. The rubber cushion is also 7/16 bolts with large diameter thicker than normal washers. The rubber cushion then ties into brace (kinda "y" shaped) that's bolted to the frame. I think those are 5/16 or 3/8 but I can't remember.

Yes, the bolts that bolt this bracket to the frame, the lower one is long and looks like an exhaust manifold mounting bolt but tthe upper 2 (one on each side) have me baffled. I took a picture of this bracket still mounted on my car frame but only the lower bolt still remained, those other 2 I had already removed.

        Jimmy,
Those two bolts washer and lock washer inserted generally from top down. Like I said can't remember if 5/16 or 3/8. Understand most of the chassis was assembled while up side down.

          Gene,

Do you have any idea of the head markings and the length?

          Thanks.

            Jimmy,
I just set the '67 body back down on the chassis, but for the life of me I can't remember. But here is my educated guess. Any TR, WB, RBW, RSB, M, C, or L clear zinc plated hex head marking grade five is possible. And my guess on length is about 3/4" possibly 1 inch securing the brace to the frame.

            The nuts and washers likewise.
