Not sure where this question goes?

I have a 327/340HP 63 SWC. I am redoing the engine and I needed to 30 over it. So I have 8 perfectly good pistons for this engine. Are they worth anything or are they paper weights? I am assuming paper weights, so you can't offend me

Dennis, I Think that once a piston has been installed in a engine and used It maybe a hard sell for someone to buy something and re-install on a engine being rebuilt. paper weights would be my answer. or put in a scrap pile of aluminun and sell as scrap metal.

        Dennis------

In general, used pistons, even if serviceable, will not be used by most folks for a rebuild. Plus, how many blocks are out there that can be rebuilt using standard size bores?

However, the way to establish value of anything, assuming you want to dispose of it, is to offer it up for sale on eBay. You never know what someone is willing to pay. Of course, you want to accurately and fully describe the item, offer no guaranty, and sell it "as-is".
