Got my "premiere" issue of American Car Collector (the successor of Corvette Market). Not a ghost of its former self. More Corvettes in auction ads than in mag. Almost as much about Ramblers as Corvettes.

I got mine and I didn't think it was all that bad. Sure I wish it had more Corvettes but I am also interested in what other cars are selling for.

Knowing the vette you have, toss the mag in the fireplace and enjoy yours! It looks as good as any vette I've seen in a magazine and runs pretty good I suspect!

Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy and read about other muscle and classic cars. However, I really enjoyed Corvette Market and Keith's and other's opinions and thoughts about the various vintages.

Kenneth and Stu, as the publisher of these magazines, let me provide some clarification. Corvette Market has not "bitten the dust" Not true, it has....- its key components have been incorporated into American Car Collector, No they haven't. A few pages in the new mag discuss Corvettes & one of the columns pertains to them. Some Corvette auction results are listed along with the more prevalent results of other cars and the frequency of publication has been increased by 50%, to six times a year from four times.
Corvette Market was profitable and doing well, In this age of printed media extinction, I don't understand why a publisher would kill a magazine that is "profitable and doing well" but we had so many requests from subscribers to incorporate other American cars that it just made sense to fold it into a new magazine. Keeping Corvette separate AND having American Car Collector wasn't logical - did we have NO Corvettes in ACC? Did we duplicate content?
I hope our logic here makes sense.

I subscribed to Corvette Market as it was corvette only and I really enjoyed it. If it was successful, why merge it with a struggling magazine? Does not seem to make business sense to me. Very sad day...

Just like the "replacement" magazine for Corvette Enthusiast that I was forced to accept, it goes directly into the recycle bin on my way back from the mail box.

Hi,
I became a magazine guy when I saw my first 'little' custom car magazine, (CAR CRAFT), in the mid-fifties. I've bought and saved thousands of car magazines since. Everthing changes!
Only buying 3 now....THE RESTORER and DRIVELINE, and Rodder's Journal.
