Grainer's did not stock the industial Krylon acrylic but ordered me 3 cans and delivered it just 2 months ago. You can buy it by the case at Grainger's web site.

Just got some last week from GLOBAL Industries online. Order the INDUSTRIAL GRADE Semi Flat Black. You have to buy 6 cans.

Are you guys all using 1613 for the outside of the glove box door and the dash cluster? I used it 10 years ago and am now in the middle of a 65 project.

I went to Fastenal and ordered a case (6) of 1613 SEMI-FLAT Black. It was about $7.00 a can. A case of 6 was the minimum order.

Also, I had some scratches in my cluster, Brian Tillis (corvette specialties of Maryland), said to use the 1613 on the scratches as that is what he uses in the shop when he restores them.

I used a hi Temp barbecue spray . Gave that mat/semigloss look.

Al, they have various blacks, semi-gloss, semi-flat, flat, etc. I am not sure about Trim Black. I am not at my shop right now

Use the SEM Trim Black in the satin - they also make it in gloss.
Dead nuts on the original color and sheen.

Thanks Patrick, my local NAPA store has SEM paint, but unsure if it's satin. I'm looking for any source to get the match for the glove box face and whatever else I may need it for.

Tractor Supply sells krylon paints , not sure about lacquer thou.
