Mine are just scratched up a little. Any way to 'touch up' the graining before re-painting?

Rich, I would think a little bondo would work just used your finger to spread it on the scratch and alittle light sanding.

Just a follow up on mine. I pulled them out and the idea of being able to restore the backs fogged my memory. The cracks were more like canyons. There are 1/8" gaps that won't close.

I was told by the last owner that the original owner biought the car for his wife. He sold it because she had "outgrown" the car. I guess that explains the cracking

For Jerome, the box has a Corvette Central label on it. I'm pretty sure I bought them from someone else though. I don't deal with them much, not because I have any problems with them though.

It really depends on how the original seat backs were damaged. A clean crack is easy to repair by closing the gap and adding structure to the back side, but gouging and wide scratches are not easy. A crack with splitting edges or missing pieces is not an easy repair. I have found that repairing large areas of texture damage is not possible unless you are willing to accept visible texture flaws.

I have searched high and low for identical replacement parts and have had no luck. I think the best bet is to shop the used original market for a set that has minimal damage, then make the necessary repairs.

GM #333387 is the original part number for 1974-77 Corvettes. It is also SERVICE for 1970-73 Corvettes.
