What is the correct p/n for the tail extension for a early 3 S.P. transaction ? My is p/n 3722848.

Take a closer look at the tailshaft casting number. 56 to early 57 approx VIN # 200 3 speed transmission tailshaft was cast 3722946. Had no cast date and was not vented.

You want tailhousing casting #3737450.

Jerry,

The earlier tailshaft is more rare than the 450. Put an ad in the Driveline or contact some of the transmission guys and work out a trade.

Depending on your VIN #, whether or not it should have a cast date or not.
