Missing 1970 Color Order Numbers
Dose anyone know why GM dosn't know the number of Corvettes that were painted each color? It seems strange that all other years & other 1970 options # are known.

1969 color numbers are not known either.
There are a lot of production numbers that are unknown for 1969 and 1970. My belief is that is because of the "blending" of the model years -- that is some GM models ended 1969 production in the normal August time frame, but Camaro & Corvette continued 1969 production to December of 1969. This confused the number crunching crowd and thus there is a lot we don't know.
I hasten to add that just like the reasons for the long 1969 production the reasons for the lack of many production numbers for 1969 and 1970 are UNKNOWN. Now everyone get that through your heads -- UNKNOWN is unknown. We can all guess -- and everyone's guess has a lot in common, and they all stink too.Terry -

You are right. I forgot about 70 Camaros & 69 Corvettes. I wasn't looking for some conspiracy theory about secret records held back by GM. I was only asking for a plausible reason that those records were lost & yours makes sense to me. THANKS TERRY
