I've had both, but i prefer the coupes for the more solid feel and reduced wind noise. I guess it really just depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you ever plan on driving the car in the winter, then i say coupe. If you live where it is sunny and warm year round, then an argument can be made for a convertible, as long as you like the wind noise and the sun beaming down on your skin. Convertible tops don't seal well, nor do the hardtops, plus they are noisy. I found that i never used the hardtop that i spent a small fortune restoring, although it looked great on the car, and if the top had a reason to be up, then it wasnt a good time of year to drive the car. iIt really comes down to personal preference. When i was younger i liked convertibles more, but now that i value my hearing and skin more, coupes.

Look at the lines on the car pictured above. I think you loose much of that on a convertible

Europeans have always said a sports car must be a car that haves a roof and it got to be a sports coupe
Take an old Ferrari 308 GTB/S as an exampel. In the US there is a lot of GTS but in Europe it is mostly GTB`s

But when it comes to the Corvette C2 is it those great looking lines, curves that does it for me

I've owned two coupes (both '67's) and two convertibles (a '63 and a '67). Convertibles are fun but I think the coupe best represents the beautiful design of the C2. I love them both but the coupe has been my overall favorite since I saw my first '63 SWC.

Wow. This is close! Great poll. They're both sweet looking Corvettes. But, imagine that you are behind a conv. and a coupe side by side at a stop light. Now that you've got that picture in your head, what are you thinking? Me too. I like the meaner look of a coupe.

Wow, as of my vote the poll is basically tied. I always thought that coupes were in the minority.

As far as I'm concerned, give me a coupe. I love the lines.

PS, some day I hope to add a C2 coupe to my signature...........

I just bought a '65 coupe. I had always thought that they had the most beautiful lines since they came out back in '63. it took me almost 40 years, but I finally got one. This 3 owner car (I am the third) sure is a nice, tight driver.

Mike, you did good. What engine do you have, 4-speed etc. Mine is the 396/425 hp big block, 4-speed, side pipes, KH knock offs; had it since '87.

I've had both coupe and convertible mid-years. It's hard to go wrong with either. To me, the coupes look more dramatic and have a more solid feel about them, but the open air feeling of a convertible is just so much fun. My first mid-year was a 64-365HP convertible which I had for 14 years. My current mid-year is a 67-435HP coupe which I've owned for 16 years. They have been and are very special cars.
