    1967 Speedo Mechanism

My speedo works and the odometer does not. I've seen a lot of posts on this topic, but i haven't seen a vendor that sells the entire mechanism with all the gears and spring in place.

    Can anyone direct me?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Once upon a time they were available from AC Delco, but that has been many moons ago. You might find one on flea bay, but the chances are slim. Those particular parts were not unique to Corvette. I do not have my AC speedometer book anymore, but it would tell you what else it was applicable to

They were never available except as a complete speedometer as service parts. A "head" unit was sold years back-but it was assembled from service parts and was poorly calibrated.

Jerry --- I have the AC Delco speedo service bulletin. For '67 w/o speed warning, your speedo head is # 6455367 (same '65-7). I don't see a part # for the whole head (other than in the old Corvette P&A catalogs, which, as Dick says, is long out-of-stock).

There are 33 parts in the exploded view. The part that drives the odo is the 3rd worm gear, part # 868123. Maybe try a Delco speedo shop, or contact Ken Anderson K&B Special Products, www.kandbcorvetteproducts.com. He sent me a worn gear FREE a couple of years ago. They advertise in the Driveline.
