54 wiper motor and steering box

Any recommendations on who to use to go through my wiper motor and transmissiom cables? Also, has anyone had success with CC steering rebuild kit? Just had my master cylinder sleeved by Apple Hydraulics, great job!

I just had the wiper motor on my 56 rebuilt by Steve Hackel. http://www.restorationservice.net/
He came highly recommended by multiple sources. I couldn't be happier with the results.

If you do any of your own mechanical work, the 53-62 steering box is easy to rebuild yourself.

CC's repo worm and sector steering gears are excellent. Brian tillis at corvette specialties of maryland(now located in so cal) does excellent wiper restos. tom maxwell restores the wiper transmissions. mike

The copper tube is my home made vent through the rear of the SB400 block into the lifter valley area (ala 67-earlier blocks) and plumbed up to a PCV valve in the plenum ala 63 FI.

The cable is a throttle cable from the cruise control unit which I recently installed as part of preparing the 56 for the drive to Phoenix for the SACC natls. I detailed the installation on "another" forum which acknowledges non correct/stock Corvettes and non-NCRS configurations.
