Jeff,
You will need the date code also if you are going to have the car judged. I think that you need to be in that three month window before the car was made. There are carbs out there, and there are several carb dealers out there. The one I have worked with is in Middlesex, NJ. 732-356-433. be careful not to purchase a service replacement. The service replacement has a rectangular protrusion in the front of the carb.

this one is a service replacement notice the protrusion on the left front(driverside) it sisort of rectangular not square.- Top

i see the protrusion in the photo and never seen one like that and know that mine don't have that feature either. Thanks for posting the impostor. The colors on this carb that i posted don't equal a 100% correct NCRS score do they ?- Top

that is the holder and locator for different external carb solenoids used for idle speed when the A/C is turned on for example.- Top
