Re: exhaust manifold ?
1964 2 1/2 inch manifolds are
L-3846563, R-3797902 w/o A/C 3797942 with A/C. Auto trans used 2 Inch versions. Service replacements are generally detectable do to different flash characteristics at the parting line. Reproductions also have issues if judges are looking.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: exhaust manifold ?
Thanks Paul I am having a big problem lately buying anything from China.
I prefer to give what little money the government allows me to keep back into
the North American economy. Getting harder and harder to do so.
Looking at recycling someone elses history at a cheap price

Re: exhaust manifold ?
Some added information on the China 2 1/2in manifolds.
FIRST, the 64-65 style LEFT side manifold IS NOT made. ONLY the 901-902 style manifolds are made/available. These manifolds can be ordered online from sources such as Rock Auto Parts for about $60ea. I have bought 2 sets, and quite honestly, I am moderately impressed with them (YES, YES, YES, I know, they are Chinese castings). For a STREET/DRIVER car, they will work quite well, ESPECIALLY for the price!!!
Even though the 64-65 style LEFT manifold (alt mount holes face forward) is not made, a person COULD use a 63 style alt mount bracket setup on the 901 manifold.
Below are comparrisons of the original and Chinese 2 1/2in 901 and 902 style manifolds (top manifolds are Chinese castings).
This is an NOS GM 64-5 style LEFT manifold (563) for an alternator.
This is the "plain" 942 style, which depending on engine/option configuration, was used on EITHER the left or right side. The 942 was ONLY installed on production cars. It was NOT available as a service replacement.
