    R.I.P. Dick "Buzz" Benton

Dick "Buzz" Benton passed away last evening at his home in the care of his wife Donna and their children. He resided in Monkton, Marlyland and restored, bought, and sold countless numbers of Corvettes. Dick was a 25+ year member of the NCRS and was the founder of the Mason Dixon Chapter. Many of you encountered Dick at various NCRS meets, Carlisle, Hershey, Knoxville, etc.
He will always be remembered as a neat guy that had a passion for his wife Donna, a passion for life, and a love of Corvettes!
I was lucky to call him my friend and I will miss him...

    R.I.P. Dick Benton,

I met Dick in the early eighties when he worked for Baltimore Asphalt and just recently learned of his cancer. Always spoke with him at the local corvette shows and summer friday night cruises at the Lowes store in Abingdon.

My prayers go out to his family during this very difficult time in their lives.

For many years my spots at Corvette Carlisle have backed up Dicks, he was always a gentleman and the best of a neighbor. I saw him this past Aug and he told me he was ill. But ill as he was, he was there.

My best to his family, he will be missed.

          Hi,
I met Dick shortly after the Mason Dixon Chapter was formed. I judged along side him more than a few times over the years, including this past Spring.
I remember his thoughtful, gentle manner; and will miss him!
          May God Bless Him.
          Regards,
          Alan
