Frank was national SCCA B Production champion in a 62 FI 283 Corvette. He was a creative racer who saw that the cobras had taken away a chance at A Production and refitted his 62 with an FI 283 to run in B Production and won the national championship. The registry of Corvette racecars site has a nice writeup and photos. Jerry

Re: Frank Dominianni national BP Corvette racer died
I met him in 87 at Laguna Seca. He drove Jan Hyde's 62 (originally his) against Tony Denman in my Gulf 62. They had raced each other in the 60's, and were transpoarted back in time 25 years. They swapped paint ( a no-no in vintage racing) and all they could do was laugh about it--they were having fun. A fine man, and a legend!- Top
