    Re: Ebay

Bad timing for eBay right before the Christmas holiday. Certainly hope it doesn't financially hurt eBay too badly. I may return my check to eBay.

Must have been a rare honest mistake, as they've always looked out for the best interest of their member/sellers.........

      Re: Ebay

Got my check a few weeks ago for a few hundred bucks.
The class action suit asked for $30,000,000.00 to be set aside with about 30% set aside for legal fees.
Anyone get a thank you note from the ****** lawyers???

Iam waiting to see the crying when the IRS and the sales tax people get around to auditing some of those big ebay sales people.(hope it never happens) but only a matter of time, just as Iam sure the red light camera is coming to a corner near you. Phil 8063

Hey Ridge, What E-bay are you using????? The one I use treats the sellers like dirt and will pull money out of your paypal account ANYTIME a buyer can't read, can't install or whines! And you have no recourse with the e-bay I use.
              I wanna use your e-bay!!!!!

                Re: Ebay

Ebay will be sending out 1099 forms in the very near future,
I have a research tool that shows all ebay listings and results for the last two years, is also shows what sellers have listed and sold.....its amazing the amount of money that changes hands, I'm think it will slow down ebay listings and sales.

There are many sellers with regular jobs that sell $20,000 to $100,00.00 a year on ebay without reporting the income, your IRS wants there money...........................Thanks John

                  Steve,

                  "a good lawyer joke".

Oxymoron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An oxymoron (from Greek ὀξύμωρον, "sharp dull") is a figure of speech that combines contradictory terms.

                  You take it from there...

Don't get me started. Here's an oldie but a goodie.

There was some shark trouble on the coast a couple of weeks ago. A swimmer was bitten by a shark. There were some lawyers swimming just a few feet away, but the sharks left them alone...professional courtesy.

Trust me, Joe.... I had a hard time keeping a straight face while typing that comment.

I've done business for 40 years with the power company, gas company, and other related utility monopolies, but if there's a more arrogant business in America, .......I want to see it.

p.s. another comment posted above predicts sellers and eBay might be upset with IRS auditing at some point in the future.
That case has already gone before the US Supreme Court when a state tried to tax it's citizens on eBay sales.

The Supreme Court ruled that when the states can figure out a fair sytem to tax every citizen on their garage sales, yard sales, etc., ......... then and only then they can also tax eBay sellers.

                        Ridge,

Now that is the E-bay that I use. Arrogant is a mild word but does describe them!!!!
I keep hearing Google is going to open a competitive website and if they are I cannot wait to use it!

I have to admit that the check they sent was nice! But they should not have overcharged in the first place.

                        Joe

One is a scum eating bottom feeder, the other is a fish.

You guys should all feel real good; I got my check yesterday for $0.04. That is right, 4 cents. Fees were $0.55!!! So I will cash the check to insure IRS files are up to date.

So, does anyone know how much the lawyers made off this scam?

IMO, that's what these class action law suits are all about. The "victims" get a few bucks or some discount coupons. The lawyers walk away with millions!

the lawyers probably got 50% of the take... tens of millions of dollars if not more.
