    Hi All,
looking for code stampings on a 1968 june small block oil pan ? also what is the correct size of the drain plug hex? was this a 5 or 6 quart oil pan for this 327 / 350 hp. any unique markings for this large journel oil pan ?

There were no stamped codes that I'm aware of on these pans. However, I don't recall ever studying the rail surfaces so it's possible there was one there.

1967 pans all used the large hex and 1969 Corvettes all used the small (9/16" across-the-flats) drain plug with flanged head. I believe that all 1968 used the small hex but it's possible that early used the large.

ALL 1968 small block oil pans were of the "5 quart" variety; no exceptions.
