Refinishing aluminum valve covers

I need these refinished/polished. They are in good shape, just need to be polished. I saw an ad in the Driveline for this service by Fred Hudson/jerrybramlett.

If any of you has used Fred, can you send me a PM to let me know how you made out and what the charge was?

Jerry MacNeish whose company is High Performance Camaro did my finned valve covers. If you want them to look original that is what he does.

Fred did my 59 valve covers and did a great job. He came to the Joplin show and is a great guy.

Based on most comments, I'm sending these valve covers to Fred Hudson this afternoon. I did speak with him and he does sound like a great guy.

I spoke with John DeGregory today and will be sending the 60's valve covers to him on Tuesday. I will post my results sometime after the 1st. of the year when they return.

JB, Your engine compartment looks very nice

Tip for the gang. What do you think is the hardest part of refinishing castings that have been polished?
Answer: Getting every last drop of polishing compound out of the pores. Failure to do so will result in one crappy looking job.
