I saw that ! Duh ! I just wondered what the guide actually said and if there is an alternate location for the numbers I may have missed.

Tom, the 1994-96 Judging Manual states on page 151-
"On LT1 and LT4 Corvettes the part numbers and date code are a dot-matrix type of print on the front side, next to the pulley". It is located on the driver's side of the engine.

The 1994 and 1995 ZR1 Corvettes have the alternator on the passenger side of the engine. The alternator part number or date is not readable on the Corvette".

Dick, we have been furnishing the National Team Leader with items that are felt to be in contradiction with the 1994-96 Judging Manual. This is a first time Judging Manual and some questions have come up and the National Team Leader has taken them under advisement.

Tom Barr has taken the suggestions which are then evaluated and if a change is warranted, then one is made. A revised Judging Manual is already under consideration. Tom has been very gracious in his time and effort for any suggestions. We have an open dialogue with Tom and he has made the changes in the Judging Manual.

        Re: 96 Alternator

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to give feedback. My 95 has a build date of 11/1/94 and my alternator number is 10480202. The julian date on it appears to be N0841.
