    68?-74? Bb Oil Line Bracket Finish

    My '73 LS-4 has a bracket that retains metal portion of oil pressure line. I would assume some/all 68-74 big blocks use this bracket. Any ideas on the original finish. I derusted it and painted it black a LONG time ago before i planned to restore the car! Natural? Zinc? Black phosphate?

      I have NOS ones and if this bracket is the L shaped bolted to the side of the block and sandwiched with 2 brass nuts on.

      Then it is Zinc.
