Just finished rebuilding the Holly carb on my '66 Roadster. Noticed some "sweating" coming from a dime sized plug just above the fuel inlet on the driver's side. There is a corresponding plug on the rear bowl too. The rear one is ok. I checked around and none of the folks I spoke with have seen this condition before. Has anyone seen this occur. If so, how can it be resolved?

Re: Holly Carb on '66 Roadster
Essentially you have three choices that I am aware of, pull the float bowl off and re-stake the crimp that closes off the leak path from the disk that is in place to seal off the machining access hole in the bowl, apply a clear epoxy and see if that will seal the leak, or replace the bowl.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: Holly Carb on '66 Roadster
there is a "O" ring under that spun in plug and carb cleaner will destroy the "O" ring. use clear fuel proof model airplane "dope" to seal this plug and it will be hard to detect because it is clear.- Top
