There are 2 small slotted holes near the outer seat belt mounts on both the drivers and the passenger side i the floor of my 69 coupe. There are no signs of anything being mounted to the outside of these holes. I have checked the assembly manual but don't see anything. I'm getting ready for carpet and don' want to cover before I know what they are for. Does anyone have an idea what they are for? Thanks Brad

Brad
I do not recall ever seeing those holes but they may have been there just did not notice them. Does the seat belt reinforcement cover those holes. If it does I would just fill them with a caulking material. They do not appear to be used for any mount, bracket or reinforcement that I know to be in that position. Hope others chime in would be interesting to see if these are production holes.

Re: 69 floorboard holes
Brad,
I see the holes are next to the seat belt bolts. When I put mine back together their has not any thing in that area that need to be assembled. The only thing in that area are two plates under the fiber glass that reinforce the seat belt area and the corner of the pan there is reinforcement. The reinforcement is held in place with rivets. Check to see if all the reinforcement holes have rivets in them.

Paul and Joe the holes are near the seatbelt reinforcement but not covered by it. They seem to be very clean and precise. Here is a picture of the other side.Attached Files- Top

Re: 69 floorboard holes
Brad,
Do not know what to tell you, there are no holes like it on my 69 July car.
Just a guess on my part... do you have a early build? Some of the early builds had insulation mounted under the pan, but the holes seem to far back for the insulation mounting.

Re: 69 floorboard holes
Joe ,its a June car so not too far from yours. There are no other signs of the under floor insulation . So I don't think that's it . The holes are just WAY to precise for Bubba to have drilled them. They really appear to be original.- Top
