    Drive Belt

I recently came across the drive belt for my 90 ZR-1. The belt on the top is the one I'm referring to. The one on the bottom is the belt that the car was jidged with. Which belt has the correct markings?

    TIA

My guess would be the bottom belt is the original. While they are both obviously of the same part number, note that the bottom belt includes a broadcast code ("DF") whereas the top one does not. The broadcast code is what allows factory line workers to quickly identify the correct part for any particular car. While the broadcast code often also appears on SERVICE parts, in this case I would expect that the lack of it on the upper belt indicates this is a SERVICE item.

I'd say that was a very educated guess. I didn't think about broadcast codes. Good service-replacement, though. Thanks for the info
