BB Oil Pan Corner Reinforcements -- what years ?

A current eBay BB oil pan with trap door is described as covering all the Mark IV years ('65 thru '74). But I notice that there are no exterior corner reinforcements.

Am curious to know when these were eliminated, as I know they were present at conception (in '65 ), as below.

I believe that all PRODUCTION big block oil pans had the corner reinforcements from 1965 through 1974. The last 1970-74 PRODUCTION and 1965-69 SERVICE oil pan was GM #3977591 and, as far as I know, it had the corner reinforcements.

In January, 1985 the above referenced was discontinued and replaced by GM #14091356. The pan included with this unit had no corner reinforcements. These can be purchased in reproduction separately, though.

Wayne, If the pan you a referencing is the one I think got your attention, you have two achillies tendons now, you don't need a third

Who sells the corner reinforcements? I do not see them in the Paragon catalog.

I can't find them in the Dr. Rebuild catalog but Corvette Central has them under their number 302094.

Pat, try Paragon 1016k or LI 38-26g.
