    Bent KH steel wheels

I have two 65-66 Kelsy-Hayes steel wheels that are bent a little and wobble some when spun on a tire balancer. I remember a thread about a month ago where someone was talking about having bent wheels and had them straightened some where. Does anyone know of a place I could send my two wheels to get them straightened into useable condition?
    Thanks for any replys. Ed

Edward: I would contact Stockton Wheel at 1-800-395-9433 and see what they can do for you. Good luck with this.

If you want to send them to Denver, we have a wheel place here that straightens them depending on where they are bent. I had a 66 wheel that they couldn't straighten but have has others that they did straighten. They charge around $65.00 each.

Edward, if you don't want to pay the shipping charges get out the Yellow Pages and call your local tire stores. If they don't do it, they'll know who does. I'm surprised that whoever did your spin balancing did'nt give you a reference.

Also, search the archives for "bent wheels" or something like that. The thread that you remeber should pop up.

They're around. There was an old German man in the Baltimore area who had a business near BWI Airport called Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe.

He straightened steel wheels and also repaired/refinished bent, damaged and "curbed" aluminum wheels.
