What was the last year for a mechanical oil gauge?

I thought 74 was but on another forum a guy has an electric in his 74. I know 72 has one so was it 72, 73, or 74? Not a big deal just trying to refresh my memory.

Gary, my 72 has a mech. gage for the oil pressure. So that leaves 73 or 74

74' was electric (my son and I each have a 74' and I have had the center panel out on both) so must be 73'.

1973 is correct; that was the last year that a mechanical oil pressure gauge was used in a Corvette.

1974 was the last year that a mechanical TACHOMETER was used in a Corvette. Both being instruments, sometimes folks get this confused.
