Anybody know how would I go about trying to obtain a copy of my original window sticker?

Re: original window sticker
There was (note the past tense) only one original Maroney label. If you can locate the original owner of your Corvette, and if that owner still has it -- you may get a copy, or perhaps even the original. Otherwise you will have to settle for a fake window stickler. There are several companies who advertise this service in The Driveline, however they are a little less candid than I am about their product.Terry- Top

Re: original window sticker
This information is not available for your 1970 car......anywhere that I know of.
However, for 1977-78 thru 1982 St Louis produced cars, GM factory info is available based on VIN. Also for Canadian export cars. Information is also available for all Bowling Green produced cars, since these records have been retained by GM.
Folks with the earlier cars (like you and me) are out of luck at this time....and perhaps forever. But you never know what could turn up in the future.....just like the recent find of the Shipping Data Report.
If your car still has an original tank sticker, this along with a Shipping Report from NCRS/GM, should allow you to reconstruct an accurate window sticker. But it will not be the original.

Re: original window sticker
If you have certain other original to your Corvette documents that ID number will be on those too, but that is about the only way to get the proper number in the upper right hand corner.Terry- Top

Re: original window sticker
Just know that when you are buying one of the "Repoduction" stickers, they are just for fun. I have the original for my 63 and sent them a copy of it to copy. Even with a copy of the original they could only do a great job at three feet away. As soon as you look closer there are some things that are so different that it is very easy to tell the difference.

Re: original window sticker
Bill if you have the paper on the tank you have all the proof you need for the authenticity of your Corvette. The Maroney label is only judged at Bloomington Gold, so you don't need it for anything else. On top of that there are only a handful of people who will ever know if the ID number that Michael Johnson mentioned is the correct one or not, and those people would need a database to verify it.Terry- Top
