    A Veteran's Day Thank You

    A big thank you to all of you that have served our country .
    This past Sunday the METRO-LI CHAPTER had a car cruise out to Laurel Lake Vineyards out in the vine country at the end of Long Island.
    This is a yearly event to raise funds for The Wounded Warrior Project. It was a beautiful day and we had a great turn out. It was quite a sight to see over 40 corvettes caravaning on the Long Island Expressway , with at least 15 mid years .
    We had close to 100 people attend and they were generous in donating to this worthy cause. Pictures from the cruise are posted on the chapter web-site http://www.metroli.org/

          Some nice words about Veterans Day:

          The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month the war to end all wars ended. Since that time our our nation has lost thousands of her best on the fields of battle. Veterans day is more than just a day off work or school it is a day to honor all those who have answered the call of duty for our country in peace and war. Thank you!!! Tonight while we are sleeping in our warm and safe homes there will be troops on patrol taking the fight to those who wish to do us harm. Thousands of miles away from home in the cold of night with no day off . God bless them.
