    '62 Carb numbers question

This pertains to a WCFB on a 250HP/4 spd.:

According to JG, the main body casting number is supposed to be 0-1451. The cast number on my carb is 0-1465, but there is a stamp on a flat pad area next to the secondary counterweight that is stamped 0-1451. The last 1 appears to be upside-down.

Also, the choke housing is stamped AD588, whereas the JG says it should be AW588S.

Could these be the right parts, or is the carb likely pieced together?

The ID tag has the right numbers, but I can't make out the date- is there a way to tell a repro tag?

    Thanks,
    Charlie

John- The carb looks just like yours; I am curious as to whether there are any exceptions to the numbers in the JG, or if my carb is not quite right for the car.

      Thanks,
      Charlie

Can you take pictures of the areas where the numbers are?

Here are pics of the two numbers in question; sorry they are not very clear.

The one is a stamped number on a flat pad on the passenger side of the body above the counterweight. That number is 0-1451, with the last "1" appearing to be upside down.

The other is a cast number on the driver side front of the body, 0-1465.

Again, the JG says the cast number should be 0-1451. Trying to find out what this carb body is for, if not correct for this car.

          Thanks,
          Charlie

            Charlie,

Here are some pictures of a 3191S(250hp/4spd) I had for my 62.

Also some more detail in the link below when I rebuilt it.

p.s. I don't have it any longer so I won't be able to check anything else on it.
