Body came off several days ago and I started to clean the underbody this past weekend. This is a 66 AOS body. The underbody was in really good shape and now I'm wondering whether I should do anything at all with it in terms of toching up some of the paint on the mount reinforcements and brackets. They will definitely not look showroom new but are in their original state. Any suggestions on whether I should touch up these areas or leave them alone. I plan on showing the car and I'm wondering how many points I may lose.

Re: C2 Body lift and underbody Photos.
Thanks Don. That's what I'm thinking. Just leave it alone. Here's another photo. I tried to attach a couple more but with no success. I'll be taking more photos as the project continues and I'll post those later.
On a side note, I plan on showing the car at the 2012 San Diego National Convention but understand that I have to take it to Regional's in order to qualify for an NCRS award. I live in Southern California, so the next nearest Regional would be Seaside Oregon in May. Any thoughts on that?Attached Files- Top

Re: C2 Body lift and underbody Photos.
Hector,
the Judging Reference Manual states the car must have achieved at least third flight within the prior three years under the present owner to qualify for judging at National. It does not say it has to be at a Regional meet. There will be two Spring Chapter meets before the National in SD, one by the So CAL Chapter and one by the Cent CAL Chapter that you might want to attend. There will also be a Regional in Tucson in March 2012. Many of us from So CAL will be there.- Top

Re: C2 Body lift and underbody Photos.
Not sure I can get the car done by March. Might be able to get it to one of the spring meets. I looked at the SCC/NCRS Calendar in the SCC Bonding Strip and, other than the Tucsan meet, didn't see any information about any chapter meets prior to the National Convention. Where would I find that information? Thanks for you help.- Top
