    Decoding a Rochester Quadrajet

I have a Rochester Quadrajet on my '69 350/350. The car is very original, but I'm having difficulty determining the originality of the carb. The code on the back driver's side vertical post of the carb is 8904 1901 and directly below that is 2046W. This code doesn't seem to conform to any of the protocol I've read about. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Honestly not sure. I assumed it was a Rochester, but I understand that Carter built them as well. I'm not in front of the carb at the moment, but I don't recall seeing either a Rochester or Carter demarcation.

That's a qjet 'replica' made by Edelbrock.

Interesting. Could it have been orig on the car or more likely a replacement? Thanks

Edelbrock only starting manufacturing qjet clones long after GM quit, they were never an OEM supplier.

Thats a good running carb. Ran it on my 70 L-46 while the original was refurbished

i believe they were made by weber in italy for edelbrock but edelbrock could not sell enough to meet the contract so the carbs went away
