      It's a SERVICE cylinder head applicable to 1953-57 235CID 6 cylinder engines.

          Agree with Joe (as usual), but according to my notes back from my parts dealing days, this head was offered as a service replacement during the 1956 to 1962 timeframe.

                  Yes, it was applicable to 53-62 rather than just 53-57.

                      As identified above, this was a head for all 1953-62 six cyl 235 cu in engines.
                      It was sold under part # 3836954. It usually required a reducer bushing for the bulb style temp gauge and sometimes replacement of the valve cover.
