C1 Soft Top Weatherstrip

I am refinishing the soft top frame on my 58 project. I am having trouble understanding how the most forward, side weatherstrip is attached. The large holes on the forward arms do not line up with the holes on the metal weatherstrip retainers. There are small (sheet metal screw) holes drilled into the arms that seem to line up with the middle and forward holes on the retainers. However, I thought the retainers/weatherstrip were attached with T-nuts and machined screws. I do have the correct arms and I have the weatherstrip/retainer kit from C.C. If I attach the weatherstrip/retainer as I see it now, the furthest rearward hole gets a T-nut, and the middle and forward holes get sheet metal screws. Does this sound correct? Also, how are the 2 sections of the forward arms joined? I know how to attach the arm assmbly to the fron bow, but, there are 3 elongated holes in the upper portion of the arm assembly that line up with holes in the lower portion of the assembly...what are the correct fastners?

I dont think anyone makes correct weatherstrip and attachments for `58. If the later style is what you have, you are destined to make it fit.

Thanks for the reply. I have attached the pics of the arms I have. I hope they attach...never tried to attach a pic to this site. In any event these are pics from the C.C. online catalog...same as the set up I have. Are these early or late? My car is a January car...not really early or late.
