Judging School Heart of Ohio

I would like to thank the Heart of Ohio Chapter for the recent judging school they setup in Columbus, OH on 11/5/2011. John Hinckley was the speaker doing the same seminar he did in Novi NCRS National this past summer. The seminar was outstanding I had missed this at Novi due to judging. If you ever have the opportunity to hear John's presentation do not miss it was outstanding.

Also a Thanks to Bud's Chevy for supplying the lunch.

i would have flown there for that but i knew nothing about it. if someone knows about a good upcoming judging school, let me know about it. i miss all the schools at the big shows because of judging cars.

Mr Greene I am sorry I let all Ohio chapters Mich, Ind, and Pittsburgh chapter know about it did not know anyone would come from farther distance then that will post in national events from now on

it was a great educational seminar. i learned alot! it was great to hear how our cars were built from the factory from the man that was there. thanks john hinkley ! and thanks mike treece for setting it up.

Hi Mike,

The Judging School with John Hinkley was outstanding both at the national and at HoO judging school. This event was posted for all members to see on the NCRS national calendar as are many other NCRS events. You can see what events are coming up by clicking the word Calendar above this thread. It is a great feature that many members are not using.

Not all chapters are using the feature as well. However, there are many more chapters using it now, then in the recent past.

I don't want to start a urinating contest, but in fairness to ALL members there is nothing on the NCRS calendar for your event that says anything about the presenter or the subject matter.

Traditionally Chapter events have only been publicized to the members of that chapter. That is one of the incentives to join the chapter. One could make the point that there is little incentive for a member to join the chapter if s/he can attend all the chapter events without contributing either in work or finances to the chapter. Some chapters may chose not to publicize their events for this reason.

I think the sword cuts two ways.

Maybe I am think Tom, I have been accused of that from time to time, but I don't see John Hinckley anyplace here:

Lets not forget the very informative seminar on Fastener Systems Technology which was put on by Kimball Midwest.
Some very interesting information concerning nuts, bolts and washers was presented along with some eye opening demonstrations on fastener failure.
