Early 66 Fan Clutch Ink Stamp Question

    Hi All,

We have a very early 66 L72 built in Sept of 65. Can someone tell me, should the fan clutch have an ink date stamp and a CK stamp? From the re-search I conducted, I believe the ink date stamp and CK stamp come in late 66. The fan clutch is the Eaton style coil spring.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Your Eaton big block fan clutch should have a "CK" and a date code ink stamped on the front face. Silk screening would be incorrect. The mounting shaft should be 1.5" long (shorter than the small block shaft).

      Hey Tony,

Your not quoting from Bill C's hand out from Frisco are you?? . Informative class. Learned quite a bit about fan clutches.

Hey Mike. Yes, that was a really good class. Bill really tied up some loose ends on fan clutches for me.

Congrats again Mike on your Top Flight. Beautiful car!

Hey Tony, have any pictures how to read these date stamps?
