63 T10 Shifter

Can someone explain the difference between the 63 T10 shifter and the 59-62? Pics would be fantastic!

Tim,

The differences in the shifter were discussed recently. Just run a search for T-10 Shifter and a lot of information will appear.

Basically the 63 T-10 Shifter is located just above the crossmember and the shift levers are shorter and the linkage is different.

There were also some good pictures with that thread.

the reverse lever on the 63 shifter is shorter for clearance of the cross member

The earlier shifter has one of the levers too long for the 63, hits the frame.....a judicious cut of a grinding wheel on the lever and 'it fits'
