well, here in ohio the cruise in season seems to be winding down. i have been to more shows this year than i have ever been. i have been very fortunate to be able to visit so many places and see some great cars. i have to say the somernites cruise was my favorite time,bud's cruise in and a road tour through several states by myself to just get away were some of my other favorites. and of coarse all the shows in between and NCRS meets where i have learned so much.
i guess my non technical question is...what were some of your favorite cruise ins and show this year?

My personal favorite is the Cowtown Cruisin for a Cure here in downtown Fort Worth every September. Not only is it a great location with 400+ cars, but it benefits prostate cancer care. Also enjoy the Christian Classic Cruisers show at the Birdville Schools Stadium in North Richland Hills every month as there are close to 300 cars in the spring and fall when the weather is nice. And lastly, not far from my home in Arlington, there's a cruise every Friday night in the parking lot of a grocery store that attracts about 150 cars when the weather is nice. Went to Frisco for the Texas Chapter event yesterday just to look. I just always wish there were more c3s at local events.

It's not over yet, some of the best ones are yet to come. In my latitude there are more shows in the spring and fall because the summers are so hot, and because the fall is pretty dry. If I have to pick, the two shows/flea markets/cruise-ins at the Charlotte Auto Fair are my favorite, although the Hillsboro show is next week and the Raleigh Auto Fair is in two weeks. These are good shows.

Boose Chevrolet Brookville Ohio Cruise Into Summer, nice big cruisein.
Goodguys in Columbus JULY 6-8.
Frisch Cruise in Middletown in the summertime ??
Goodguys at The Indy Motor Speedway, a great new show.sEPT 21-23.
A new event for Ohio is the Mile at Wilmington Airport April 28 and 29.
The Cruise In at Milford Ohio every Friday.
Miamisburg Ohio Cruise once a month.
Germantown Ohio cruise ,once a month.
And the list goes on...

"Summer in Hyde Park" (and some are not), in Santa Fe NM with the Old Pecos Trail Corvette club in mid July every year. Cruise through the old Plaza and out up the mountains to near the ski area at Hyde Park. Almost 200 Corvettes every year, free food, fantastic scenery and very friendly people from all over.

The Santa Fe Concorso, late Sept. outside Santa Fe NM at a beautiful ranch, almost 100 true classic cars from all varieties, many cruises through the mountains with dozens of them along, incredible scenery and interesting people from all over the world.

The best are yet to come here in Central Florida.

Trust we'll see many of you at the Winter Meet here in January. Until then, don't freeze your butts off in the 31" snow falls.

Woodward Dream Cruise (really the 2 weeks leading up to the event are better than the event itself). Published numbers are 50,000 old cars and 1.5 million people- give or take a few.
