Have the guts out of the RH door on my '65 convertible, and decided to replace the anti-rattle ? felt strip on the rear channel. Found a set at a swap meet about 20 years ago, in LIC package 42-29C, which is a set of two, for all C2 roadsters and the '63 coupe.
Found that they're about 35% wider than necessary to completely line the three inside faces of the channel. Is this standard ? ie. is trim-to-fit required ? They are of correct length; about 17.5".
I think the pics show the original lining on my late '65, and appears that they were installed with weatherstrip cement, indicated by the aged yellow/brown glue runs.
Notice the 3-sided fold-over at the top (2nd pic). Is this factory practice ?
