What is this bracket for?

This bracket is riveted to the underside of the passenger side hood gutter on my '70 and seems to serve no purpose that I am aware of. Unless someone tells me what it is for. It is located near the fan motor casing.

Thanks! But my March built 1970 already has a windshield washer bag on the driver's side so I assume it was installed there as a routine assembly process. I knew it had to be screwed to something as the oval slot looked like it. Another oddity was when I had the engine out I found a windshield wiper relay mounted on the inside of the passenger side lower inner fender with no hoses attached to it. I already have the one on the driver's side firewall.
I appreciate y'all clearing that one up for me.

Scott, could it have been possible the was a front nose from a 72 put on your 70, the wiper relay was moved at some point to the inner fender, as was my 72 it is mounted on the pass. inner fender.

No, the 1970 AIM shows a wiper door relay being mounted there but was canceled due to the relay installation being moved to the firewall.
