Coevette Concept Car?

"Modern Marvels" on The History Channel this morning was devoted to factory concept cars of the '50s and '60s. Very, very briefly I saw what appeared to be a modified '55-'57 Corvette with roof panels that lifted up like the Mercedes "Gullwing" doors. The shot was so short I am now even doubting that I saw it correctly since I have never come across this example before in any of my Corvette literature. Has anyone else seen this car or can anyone identify it from my description?

There was a concept car called the Aerovette that had gullwing doors.

Thanks for that information, but the Aerovette was a much later '70s creation. The car I'm looking for was definitely of mid '50s vintage and the lifting panels were relatively small, perhaps just hinged parts of a standard hardtop.

I agree. I'm wondering whether it was a Corvette. I've never seen the example in any of the literature.
