72-73 Diverter Valve

I have a '73 L82 with original smog equipment. There is no part number on the diverter valve (29199). I have seen other '73 sb's like this also. How is this judged?

Also, I'm trying to locate smog for my '72. Were all original diverter valves stamped with this number, as per the TJM?

Are you looking on the edge of the mounting flange? I found the big block version years ago, had it sent to me and freaked when I couldn't find the #! When I called the seller he educated me to the location, whew!

I believe I am looking in the right place. I've seen where the number is located on a few of them for sale on ebay.....But I'll look again!

It's a tiny little number on the edge of the flange that is real easy to miss.

Thanks Steve and Rich,

I had another look last night and took out the magnifying glass and LED flashlight.
I found it - a very light stamping with thin numbers. Doesn't look anything like the "nos" numbers on ebay.
