    54 water pump bolt leaking

    The bolt that threads into the water jacket needs a sealant, what do you folks use? Blue locktight?

      Permatex Thread Sealant or any other high quality thread sealant.

      I've seen people use lock tight for a sealant, but I do not believe that it is not intended for that purpose.

          Loctite Blue is not intended for a sealant. As Paul said, Permatex or Loctite (owned by the same company) have a thread sealant with Teflon. Loctite calls it Pipe Sealant with Teflon.
