    67 Grille

how is the 67 grille supposed to look? - The leading edge around complete grille polished chrome, then the vertical lines polished chrome, are the leading horiziontal edges of the egg crate supposed to be polished chrome as well or painted the silver/gray like the crate walls? Thanks Jim (hope this is clear)

Order one from GM. It's still available!

The problem with the ones currently available is that they vary in the amount of overspray on the chrome. On the last one I saw all the chrome was pretty much covered with the overspray. You can use lacquer thinner and steel wool to remove the overspray, but it is tedious and time consuming. Richard Fortier may be willing to clean yours up.

Richard Fortier has some of the service replacement grills at a fair price. They may have some over spray, but he can clean them up if you don't want to tackle the job yourself.

Here is a pic of a replacement grill I bought for my '67 from GMparts. I'm pretty happy with it, the chrome is very good and there is no overspray. Most used ones I looked at had the center tab broken off.
