54 drag link install
Has anyone had trouble tightning the link at 3rd arm. I cant seem to tighten it down far enough to get the cotter pin in. s12 says take out the slack and back it off but it seems bottomed out. I carefull took a hammer to it to see if its positioned correctly and it is. I really only need one more turn. Any suggestions? Thanks as usual!!

Maybe the ball seat rotated out of its groove as you were turning the adjuster screw. If it did you would lose about 1/4" or less of adjustment. -

Thanks Erich, something was screwie in there but I got it. Thanks to everyone who has helped me through your posts. #2468 will breath again next Monday for the first time in over 40 years, shes full of fluids, oil pump primed. Ill let you know if it pukes on me. ( chasis only ) The rest of it is getting a face lift, tummy tuck, bow tocs.....whatever

Glad you got it tightened. I normally grease the inner assembly really well to avoid the issue. Works alot better.
