Re: too cheap 63?
Matt, not in this economy. A quick look says:
- Needs front bumpers
- Not the original engine
- The suspension was changed
- Fenders appear to be altered
- Wheels
- There is probably more you can't see

Re: too cheap 63?
The #1 reason bumpers don't go back on a front end...especially with the brackets missing is they won't fit.
Meaning the front end was hit and put back so bad even some bending of the brackets would not solve the issues present.- Top

Re: too cheap 63?
I think Harry is correct. Current market indexes would indicate that this car is probably worth more like $25k for all the reasons he and Ron have listed.
Here is the data on CCMR
BTW, this car was listed for $35,000 on Auto Trader Classics the past few months and the ad was dropped within the past couple days. Project cars take a beating in times like these. They are first thing people sell when they need the money. That's exactly how I got my '69 L36 for a price I could not have dreamed of in 2006. As Dick has told us several times in not so many words: the only cars that consistently bring investment grade money, are investment grade cars.'69 Blue/Blue L36 Vert w/ 4-Spd

Re: too cheap 63?
BTW, let me add that Corvettes are holding their value better than most early (64 - 66) and late (67 - 71) muscle. If you want to see a market that is REALLY taking a beating, look at late Mopar muscle. In 2006 that segment spiked the highest and subsequently fell the hardest. Values are down 40-50% from their 2006 peak. They are so tempting today that I almost purchased a '68 triple black GTX convertible instead of the L36.'69 Blue/Blue L36 Vert w/ 4-Spd

Matt, the guy has priced himself out of the market. I agree with Harry and Floyd. The "street custom" hot rods always go for less when they have aged. I have'nt gone through Floyd's pricing data, but I would think that you would want to pay around $26k for this car if it runs well and is in good shape. That's probably less than the seller has in it.
