1975 Hardtop Wrench

There has been much prior discussion as to the hardtop wrench for early c3's but no firm knowledge on 75's having the wrench. All posts seem to imply that 75's and possibly 74's had no wrench included with the car.

Is there anyone out there that knows definitely that the 74's or 75's did or did not include the wrench? The Judging guide for 75-77 lists the wrench but I would guess it was carry over wording and should not have been listed in the manual. Thanks, AL

I have a 74' convertible (with what appears to be the original hardtop as per the tank sticker) and have struggled with this same issue. I have no wrench but I am not the original owner of the car so the fact I do not have one does not mean much I guess. I have found what I believe are a small number of errors in the 74' judging guide (my son and I both have 74's and his is a quite original coupe) and I think this is one of them but I cannot prove it so am interested in replies to your post. What I think I know is that the AIM does not specify a wrench or if it does I am not sure where it would be in the AIM as it is not in the section which specifies what is included to be shipped loose with the car. I am also assuming a car would not get shipped from the factory with a wrench if the factory assembly guide did not specify one.

Thanks for the info Bob. I guess the question should be...Does or did anyone with an original 74 or 75 convertible have the open end wrench supplied with the car?
