    BB fan clutch rebuild

Is it normal to move the fan blade back and forth a 1/4" on a rebuilt fan clutch shaft?
I spoke to a big block fan clutch rebuilder about my rebuilt BB fan clutch, He said it was normal for the fan blade to have up to a 1/4" movement

    There is no grinding sound

    Paul,

One way to determine if a fan clutch needs a rebuild is to see if it stops within 1.5 rotations after you shut off the car.

If you do need a rebuild, I recommend Dan Kirkconnell @ Kirkconnell Corvettes in FL. Dan just did a clutch for me and I'll be sending him two others in the near future.
