    62 speedometer cable color

    What is the correct color of the speedometer cable sheathing on a 62 3-speed manual? Any pictures of an original would be helpful.

      John,

      The judging guide indicates 62 speedometer cables should be grey. Very early 62's may appear either black or grey.

      Grey would be consistent with what I have seen on the judging field.

          I don't have my manual handy, but I always thought that the 3 speed cable had NO coating on it. It was natural cad or zinc in color.
