The chrome on my original ebrake handle is a little tired near the base, so I thought I would try out the repro. I'm surprised and happy that this part appears to be nearly identical with the original. There is; however, one area at the tip that appears to have a ding and a sharp gouge. See lower left hand corner of the picture. I'm considering sending it back to exchange it with another, and I was going to see if anyone had experience with this handle having similar flaws.

Hi Jerod, that's a sink mark from when the part was molded.
Most likely all of their handles will be the same.

Darn. Otherwise it's such a nice piece.
Packed it for returning today. Requested on the return authorization that they open up several more examples and inspect for me. I'm not going to hold my breath now.Comment

I don't think your being picky to send it back, I would! I'm sure it wasn't cheap! Please post an update when you get a replacement. I advertised in Hemmings YEARS ago, looking for a NOS one. Someone, I forget who, called and offered to re-do the 'chrome plastic' on it, he did an awesome job for $50, wish I had a record of who it was!
