    Re: 63 fuel line clamp

What or which clamp was used by production is really not the question. Mike notes the production line used what ever in some cases & I agree with that comment wholeheartedly.

BUT the 63AIM shows (per Mike) the 140569 so anything else will get a deduct during judging unless the owner has documented proof to the contrary.
Believe Mike was concerned about using the correct part to avoid a detection.

Now it maybe worth doing a special post on the subject especially in light of Mike's comments (post #12) perhaps it was a larger production substitution than expected. These things did take place!
Just for reference my 140569 clamp was on car when purchased in Aug67 along with the original fuel pump. The original owner does not list that area as being modified (he's a NCRS Member).

      Re: 63 fuel line clamp

I'll just go on record as stating that neither of my cars is "untouched"; both had been previously body-off restored. So we shouldn't make any generalizations about production trends by using them as data.

My point was that they could have been that way from day one, not that they were....I just need to find a guy who had an iphone at St Louis in late 62 and took pictures of his girlfriend doing the clamp installation job....

In any case, both my cars are now "correct"
