    Any Pics From California Regional?

I wanted to attend so bad, but it just wasn't in the schedule this time.

Sure would like to see maybe some pics from the Judging Field. Especially the C3 Line.

    Thanks.

    Well, here is one.
Can you recognize the two super master judges doing mechanical on this C3?
You unfortunately are missing a great show, with incredible weather (now). The rain yesterday was obscene. But all gone now. The cars are great. Lots of fun.

I missed it also. I talked with Dennis Hakim this morning. He said it was a good show with about 35 cars.

              Peter,

There were six early sharks for flight judging. A '68 British Racing Green L71 coupe, a '68 Tuxedo Black L-88 convertible, a '69 L71/L89 LeMans Blue coupe, a '69 Monza Red ZQ3? coupe, a '70 Daytona Yellow LT-1 convertible and a '71 Brands Hatch Green ZQ3 coupe.

My two '71 LS6 coupes were also in attendance, along with a '71 ZQ3 coupe in Sportsman class.

I counted 56 cars in attendance at this Regional meet.

                          Bill,

It was an awesome car with an amazing owner - Retired General Jim Collins I believe. All the cars were great, as stated before. There were some really rare ones too. For example:

'65 Red/white big block two top car with docs.
'63 SWC fuelie with big brakes
                          Fergs '55
                          '68 black/black L88 convertible
                          '62 fuelie with big tank

The list goes on and on! Not to mention Don's green Top Flight '65 - way to go Don!

Thank you to everyone who put the meet together from Northern, Central and Southern California.

Yes retired USAF -- 28 years. Talk about coming for the cars and staying for the people -- he and I had a brief but rewarding (to me anyway) chat about RC flight, Hughes Aircraft, and Data Link systems that I worked on in the Air Force in the early 1960s. One of the few people I have come across that knew about the Weapons Control System on F106s. I expect he and I will spend a lot of future time on Corvettes and flying machines.

Since Jerry beat me to post the judging field I will add parts of the Sportsman row:
